Twelve days trip playing old-time music and walking in Australia in 2020
Dates : 1 March to 12 March 2020, Aussie summer
We’ll visit the Cobargo Folk Festival
Your trip will start in Canberra, the capital of Australia where we’ll do a circuit of the Australian Capital Territory [ACT].
From the ACT, we then travel into the state of New South Wales [NSW] venturing into the foothills of the Australian alpine regions, down to the lush landscape and crystal blue seas of the Sapphire Coast and finally returning to Canberra, with a total route of approximately 1000 miles.
You will experience:
A nature reserve with photo opportunities, including native animals.
Staying on a station [ranch] homestead (not the outback but close).
Playing old time music in a cave, a country pub [bar] and at a folk festival.
Visiting and passing though country towns.
A 3-hour excursion river boat trip.
Spending time on the south coast of NSW, seeing (and swimming in if so inclined) the Pacific Ocean and the foothills of the Snowy Mountains.
Guided and self-guided gentle walks in the daytime.
Playing music into the wee hours.
